HiteJinro launches Premium Bourbon Whiskey ‘Four Roses’ in Korea

Korea’s liquor giant HiteJinro has launched four types of premium bourbon – Four Roses – for the first time in Korea. The whiskies are – Four Roses Bourbon, Four Roses Single Barrel, Four Roses Small Batch, and Four Roses Small Batch Select.

Four Roses combines two mash bills (the type and proportion of grains used in whisky) and five proprietary yeasts to create ten unique recipes. ‘Four Roses Bourbon’ boasts a balanced flavour with a combination of basic mashbill and yeast, and features a mild vanilla and caramel aroma. The alcohol content is 40%.

‘Four Roses Single Barrel’ is made by extracting the undiluted liquor from a wooden barrel used to age whiskey. It is characterised by its strong flavour and the sweet taste of aged vanilla and toffee (a confectionery made from caramelised sugar, molasses, butter, and flour). The alcohol content is 50%.

‘Four Roses Small Batch’ is a premium product with a more delicate and sophisticated taste using the ‘Small Batch’ method. It has a strong fruity aroma and is very popular with bourbon whiskey lovers. The frequency is 45%.

‘Four Roses Small Batch Select’ is a top-tier premium line produced in limited quantity. It features flavours of chocolate and dried fruit, and the non-chill-filtered method allows one to enjoy the original taste of whiskey. The alcohol content is 52%. Four Roses will be sold through the mainstream lifestyle platform ‘Daily Shot’, high-end bars, and some liquor stores.

“Four Roses has been recognised for its quality at global awards ceremonies such as the ‘World Whiskies Awards’ and ‘World Spirits Competition’ and is very popular,” said Taeyoung Yoo, Managing Director of HiteJinro.
